Welcome to Tannenbaum Farms!

Tannenbaum Farms is located 10 miles east of State College in Happy Valley and is, unofficially, Central Pennsylvania’s Largest Cut-Your-Own Christmas tree farm. We appreciate your visit to this site and hope it answers any questions you may have. You are also welcome to contact us and we sincerely hope you’ll come experience the difference that Tannenbaum Farms provides.

Born from a love of the land and manifested in a lifetime dedication to the research and understanding of trees, the first tree was planted at Tannenbaum Farms on May 1, 1970. Many things have changed and grown (and continue to grow) around the farm since then, but our principal commitment to providing quality trees and tree products at a fair price has remained constant. Since 1996 we have invited families to enjoy our farm in the form of the traditional “cut-your-own” experience. Information about the process, types of trees available, and directions, is all available here. You can also find information about product pricing.

As locally owned and operated business we are grateful for the continued support of the community and welcome your comments on how to improve the experience.

There is a large selection of choose-and-cut trees available this year.

Hours of Operation:

Open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily
Thanksgiving Day through December 22nd
(Last trip to the field for cut-your-own – 4:00 p.m.)

We look forward to seeing you!

Tree Tagging Begins

We welcome families to come to the farm and tag a tree for cutting after we open officially on Thanksgiving Day. Tags are provided in the mailbox labeled “Tree Tags” at the big barn. Regrettably, we cannot guarantee that tags on trees will be honored. We highly recommend that you cut tagged trees as early as possible.

Other Attractions

As always we will offer a selection of foods on Saturdays and Sundays from a variety of sources, often local church groups. We encourage you to support their efforts and enjoy a tasty snack or two. We will also be offering a Petting Zoo (weather permitting, call 814.364.9276 for details).
